The evolution of music industry since 1990
We have observed a complete metamorphosis in the evolution of the music industry since 1990 all thanks to some renowned DJ's and their prowess on the decks take an example of Armand Van Helden, he is one of greatest DJ's of all time and has had a successful career, born on February 16, 1970, Van Helden began DJing at the age of 15 years. In 1988 he would moonlight in Boston clubs and later on in 1991 he was a resident DJ at the Loft, one of the most famous Boston nightclubs at the time. Van Helden can be credited with overseeing the transformation in DJ industry since to date he is one of the most sought after DJ's he is most renowned for his House, electro , speed garage, hip hop, .drum and bass genres.
David Guetta is also another big name in the DJ industry with an enviable track record. David spark off his career at the age of 17 at the Broad club in Paris. Initially before discovering House music in a Farley master Funk track on French radio. In the mid 1990's Guetta used to perform in some of the good clubs In France such as Le Centrale, Folies Pigalle, the Rex and Le boy and in 1994 he became the manager of Le Palace nightclub where he went ahead to organize gigs there and in other French clubs. Guettas popular genres are House, Hiphouse and Elecro house. In the year 2009 Guetta was placed third in the "Top 100 DJ's" poll by the DJ magazine, he has also won the "Best House DJ" award in 2008. In 2011 Guetta won the Best Remixed Recording in the Grammy awards.
Armin Van Buuren is only DJ who has who can pride himself of winning the number one slot for three consecutive years in 2007, 2008 and 2009 in the DJ Magazine's yearly top 100 list. Since 2001 Buuren has been hosting the weekly " a State of Trance " radio show which claims to exceed 30miliion listeners in over 40 countries which would make it the most listened show world over. Van Buuren's DJ career kicked off at club Nexus in Leiden where he used to perform over four times a week over the school holidays. He was later introduced as a DJ in England and the United States by Dave Lewis where his career picked up securing a number 27 slot in the DJ Magazine Top 100 in November 2001. Van Buuren's popular genres include Trance, Uplifting Trance, Vocal Trance and Progressive Trance.
Carl Cox otherwise known as ''Three Deck Wizard" has also played a significant role in the evolution of music industry since 1990. Cox was the first DJ in the word to be named the number one DJ in the world by the DJ Magazine's top 100 DJ poll. Having started his career in the mid 1980's, he is one the most experienced DJs of our times. Cox most popular genres include; Hardcore, House music, Electronic Dance music, Techno, Tech House, Acid House among others.
