Who is DJ AM? If you are a music lover, you should know who DJ AM is. He was known as one of the most sought DJ in Los Angeles and New York, and he was initially introduced by Nicole Ritchie to Hollywood. DJ AM is not the usual DJ you find in bars, but he has an edge over other DJs. In fact, his resumes read like the Grammy invitation list. This famous DJ has worked with famous Hollywood celebrities like Madonna and Will Smith.

DJ AM established and opened the first-class airport themed lounge in LA for all the LA jet-setters. This lounge is located in the heart of Hollywood and this destination hotspot features mirrors in the shape of airplane windows and metal doors. This bar was called LAX. The dance floor frequently gets hampered, but it is full of fun and enjoyment that most people would lose track of time. DJ AM has become synonymous with red carpets, Hollywood and A-list parties.
It was his job as a DJ and his love life that made DJ AM famous in Hollywood. Actually, he was already considered a celebrity, and appears to be extremely down to earth person. He is a person that says who am all the time. He even quotes "I am just a cool down to earth person that loves music." He is not that naïve about his Hollywood status because he appreciates being branded as DJ AM, since he can do whatever he wants to do, while earn money at the same time.
DJ AM was on his top career when a tragic event came his way. He was found dead in New York City apartment in 2009, and the possible cause of his death could be because of prescription drugs. A year ago, DJ Am along with Travis Barker of Blink 182 survived a jet crash accident leaving other passengers dead. DJ said at the Television Critics Association summer press tour "There's no reason why I lived and they didn't." In addition, he said "I'm alive, and I'm here, and I have another chance. So I have to do something better with my life this time."
DJ AM used to be a drug addict, but he was able to overcome the addiction with the help of a friend. After 11 years, he vowed to stop taking drugs and was able to lose weight. Goldstein then underwent gastric bypass surgery and decreased to 115 lbs. During the time of his death, he had a project on an MTV show about drug addiction because he wanted the show to help out other drug addicts recover from their addiction.
